740GL 1991 Brakes bring on dash warning light

The dash warning light - orange, circle with exclamation mark within, This lights up immediately when brake pedal is pressed, goes off when foot taken off pedal whlst driving. Brakes are operating perfectly.

Have you checked the fluid level in the resevior?

Doesnt this mean you have a bulb out? :confused: Sure I have a bulb warning light on the dash!

The circle with the exclamation mark within should be red and indicates a brake circuit failure (from a 760 user manual). It really indicates that the brake fluid level is low rather than a brake circuit failure. (The bulb failure light is orange and displays a bulb with a 'X' on it.)

Thanks for your advice. I checked the back brake lights and both were working but than I noticed that the third window brake light was out. Replaced its bulb so it works and........warning light is now off! Thanks
