Rattles and Squeaks

MessageAuthor

Not much in that area to rattle, but to remove see guide notes in here: or info here: As for the screeching, the main belt (accessory belt I think it's called) needs chaning every 80,000 miles. There is an auto tensioner. It's a fairly easy job to replace the belt, though I did need two assitants!

RE: Rattles and Squeaks

Thanks Paul, details appreciated The rattle is a mystery to me as well. It sounds just like the flap on the pocket is rattling but it's not. The cambelt has been changed so this belt is a secondary one then? Do you have any recommendation where I can get one at the right price? Regards Glyn

RE: Rattles and Squeaks

Hi Paul Thanks again for the inforamtion. I have been looking at the belt which seems new. I have had a new a/c compressor fitted recently and wonder if the belt is slightly loose? How do I tighten it and to what setting? Also do you have the similar information on how to get the drivers door covering off as you supplied on the radio, as I have a noisey electric window on the drivers side - I have tried WD/spray polish but no luck. Are such photo tips availble for most jobs - if so where can I get them from Hope you can help Regards Glyn
